作者简介
约翰·豪（John Howe），1957年出生于加拿大温哥华，在不列颠哥伦比亚省长大，毕业于法国斯特拉斯堡艺术学院，现居瑞士。作为世界著名的插画艺术家，约翰·豪的画作成功使众多读者流连奇境乐而忘返。其在世界各地举办过多次画展，出版有多部画集。
约翰·豪不仅以画作促成中洲传奇搬上大银幕，其与搭档、奥斯卡最佳艺术指导奖得主艾伦·李为共摘得17项奥斯卡奖的《指环王》系列电影所做的艺术设计更让全世界书迷美梦成真。2009年，两人重返新西兰，为电影《霍比特人》系列再度构建中洲。
