係據美国：Dodd Mead, 1950版[Three Blind Mice and Other Stories]翻譯的。這部短篇小說集，貴州版全集沒有收入，此集中除《捕鼠器》原作小說《三只瞎老鼠》以外的其它作品，因亦收入其它被貴州全集版翻譯的短篇小說集，所以只有《捕鼠器》原作小說《三只瞎老鼠》被貴州版全集“遺漏”了。此外，云南人民出版社 1981.07 版《埃奇威尔爵士之死》，收录长篇小说《埃奇威尔爵士之死》(即「人性记录」)及短篇集《三只瞎老鼠及其他》中的全部九個短篇，則云南人民出版社 1981.07 版《埃奇威尔爵士之死》其實即是「人性記錄」和「三只瞎老鼠及其他」的合集。
