发生期的大众文化图景

——香港视角及书写尝试

摘要　大众文化的生成与发展对当代中国社会变迁具有重要意义，但大众文化史的整体性建构尚未真正开始。现有的叙述多为亲历者的回忆，较为零散且受到选择性记忆的影响。内地媒体对大众文化发生的具体情形的描述，呈现出丑化、简化、漫画化、符号化等特征。同一时期的香港报刊出于对内地政治社会动向的关注，发表了大量对内地大众文化发生状况的观察。其作者群体由报刊记者、文化人、海外游子和观光客等构成，这些人既是历史现场的旁观者，也是大众文化发生期的重要活体信源。这一双重身份使得他们的记录成为宝贵的史料库，从中可以提炼出书写当代大众文化史的别样视角。从这一视角既可以看到发生期大众文化的具体情态，也能从中提炼出大众文化发生中的联动机制、阶层区隔、文化区划、主体身份之类从别的视角不易觉察的议题。

Abstract The generation and development of popular culture is of great significance to the social change of contemporary China，but thehistory of popular culture has not begun its entire construction. The current narratives are mainly composed of witnesses’ memories，scatteredand strongly influenced by selected memories. The description of the development of popular culture portrays vilification，simplification，caricatu-re and symbolization. Meanwhile the Hong Kong press has published a large amount of observation of Mainland popular culture，out of concern ofthe political and social development of Mainland China. Such authors include journalists，intellectuals，overseas tourists and tourists，who are notonly the bystanders of the historical scenes，but also the important living source of popular culture during its occurrence. Their dual identitiesmake their records become valuable historical resource，from which various perspectives can be generated to write the history of contemporarypopular culture. This perspective not only sheds lights on the specific circumstances of popular culture，but also generates productive topicsincluding institution，class division，cultural distinctions，subject identities.
