作者简介
大卫·布林，美国当代著名科幻作家，1950年10月6日出生，毕业于加利福尼亚大学圣迭戈分校，获空间物理博士学位。
布林最著名的代表作是他的“提升系列”太空歌剧。该系列由《潜日者》、《星潮汹涌》、《提升之战》、《光明礁》、《无限的海岸》和《天空的距离》六部小说组成。其中，《星潮汹涌》获得了世界科幻大奖星云奖和雨果奖，《提升之战》获得了雨果奖。
除创作科幻小说外，布林还为一百多家政府机构和企业充当顾问，并一直活跃在多种科普电视与广播节目中。2007年8月，布林作为嘉宾出席了中国（成都）国际科幻·奇幻大会，并发表了精彩演讲，其渊博的学识和幽默的性格给中国科幻迷留下了深刻印象。
