该书以汉英对照的方式出版，其中英文部分由英文母语专家亲自审定，并对中文部分的生僻字词做了注音和解释，更方便参考学习。
本书收录155首从元代至清代六百多年间的诗歌，均由许渊冲翻译。希望通过这种双语的阅读的形式，带读者领略3个王朝的跌宕起伏，640年的岁月凝结。
作者简介
许渊冲，生于1921年，北京大学教授，著名翻译家，著译有中、英、法文作品百余部，被誉为“诗译英法人”。2010年获得中国翻译协会表彰个人的荣誉奖项“中国翻译文化终身成就奖”。2014年获得国际翻译界奖项之一——国际翻译家联盟（国际译联）2014“北极光”杰出文学翻译奖。2020年获全球华人国学大典海外影响力奖。
